A clever 10-year-old needs the audience to help outsmart a monster scheming to silence music forever.

In this mesmerizing children’s concert, drama, dance, dazzling masks and costumes are woven together with orchestral music in a story about bravery and hope. Audiences laugh, chant and sing while discovering musical concepts and urging Emily onward to defeat the horrible beast Cacopholous. As Emily is swept up in the beauty of music from some of the world’s greatest composers, the monster threatens to bring only darkness and noise. Emily must summon all of her courage and work with her friends both onstage and in the audience to triumph against his evil tyranny.

The fully staged production features 13 excerpts from some of history’s most beloved pieces, including Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, The Nutcracker and The William Tell Overture. With a running length of 55 minutes, Emily Saves the Orchestra is a delight for parents, teachers and children aged four and older.
